Did Guild Wars invent Rangers and Necromancers? I dont think it did, they have been pressant in plenty of games before. But GW was different wasnt it?

Same thing for AoC.

Games that are the same are ones which copy everything from WoW's Gameply - WoW, Lotro, and possibly Warhammer too. As long as the gameplay is different, as it is in AoC, the game will feel new.

Take a look at Lotro, they invented new names for all of their classes. But the gameplay was EXACTLY the same thing as WoW and it wasnt any different besides having different names for everything. So your logic pretty much fails on an epic scale.

But yea, Guild Wars was the first ever MMO to implement god mode ... or as they like to call it, Ursan Blessing. How original and leet.

And the skill tree calculators are out for AoC if you want to take a look into the classes:

http://feats.goonheim.com/tempestofs...a5b5g5h3m3n5q1

Thats just one of my ideas for my Tempest of Set.

It depends on which server you choose though, and I havnt picked one yet.

I will be playing on PVE now, I was initially interested in a PVP server, but realised that this is a bad choice for a solo player.

Also check out this video on AoC PVP:

http://video.mmosite.com/display.php?vid=7483&gid=26

Looks super fun XD cant wait for capture the flag

Great news, since the last patch, the game is now running on slower cards:

http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=84443

It is 'playable' on an ATI 9800 or Nvidia 5800 card.

The early access download is now avaiable, its just under 14 gigs for the download, and the installation is 30 gigs.

Links here:

http://forums.ageofconan.com/showthread.php?t=86791

Official site here:

http://funcom.solidstatenetworks.com/about/

Downloading it now XD - lol, the download links were removed with no explanation why as it isnt yet official. The thread is still open, the download is from funcom, and it says Age of Conan EU early access. I get it faster because hardly anone else is downloading it yet XD

LOL!!! It was the wrong version of the client haha! Way to go Funcom

And just how many MMO's do you build your own cities in and have real time combat like this?

Indeed it did. I preordered it from play for the Rhino initially, but as games were giving their codes out earlier, I preordered from game too and cancelled it after getting my code XD

I have my account set up and ready to download again once the 'official' client becomes available.

Living in Canada, it appears that I can only get a Mammoth from the pre-order, which sucks balls, but oh well, at least I got my 3 days head start . Gonna have to start downloading it soon. Oh MAN I cannot wait for next Saturday!

According to the funcom CM, the early download will be available tomorrow afternoon. They moved it forward from the 14th April to the 10th to allow more time to download it, but it got delayed today, even though a different version of the client was somehow leaked.

The majority on the forums reckon in a few months the mammoth and rhino will be available in-game (maybe as variants, keeping the pre-orders unique). I know it's all just speculation, but FC would be fools not to do this.

Banned for a legit bid lol ::claps::

40-60fps I reckon. Nobody is sure how the game will run yet though. People are treating this game as it's Crysis 2 or something...which it isn't.

The beta doesn't support SLI or DirectX 10 or Quad Cores. Conan is pretty heavy but you should be able to play at max with that config, assuming you maintain your PC properly(defraged, not too many background processes running etc)

I doubt it. It'll take 2 weeks for a hardcore player playing 8 hours a day to reach 40.

My guild thinks building a city then a keep is gong to be a breeze...

They don't realize the hardcore PvP clans are going to screw them over badly. Most are ex-WoW players, so yeah...might be jumping ship soon lol

For someone without experience in cut-throat PvP like DAoC or Shadowbane, it'll come as a rude shock.

I'll most likely start on a PvE server with some friends. It still has borderlands pvp and minigames. My 2nd char could be on a PvP server when I'm not as much of a free game for gankers.

And yeah still waiting for early access client

Funcom are screwing us around with the pre order client ;(

But they are *trying* to get it out earlier then the original date of the 14th at least. They recently said this:

http://forums.ageofconan.com/showpos...&postcount=735

Also if you are in europe, check the change billing screen on your account incase it glitches and does this:

http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o...avvv/lol-1.png

US prices in europe FTW!!!! Yes I have a UK pre order key from game, and when I activated it, it dislplayed 3 months for £28. Thoday it changed to 3 months for $41 so I changed my subscription. This isnt happening for everyone, its a glitch that is occouring on a few accounts.

I read that it would take 2-3 weeks for the no-lifers to get 80

So how will it work?

- The everyone-can-attain-max-level-by-playing-through-the-game GW mentality?

Or:

- Grind-your-ass-off-for-80?
